We started AvoFax after a frustrating afternoon in a medical office. A patient referral got stuck in a jammed fax machine, the backup number rang busy for 40 minutes, and the front-desk staff shrugged and said "happens every day." That stuck with us.

Fax still carries 75% of healthcare communication in the U.S. Prescriptions, referrals, prior authorizations, lab results — they all move by fax because HIPAA trusts it and every office already has a number. The problem isn't fax itself. It's the hardware, the busy signals, and the $40/month phone lines.

So we built a cloud fax service that keeps what works (universal compatibility, delivery confirmation, HIPAA compliance) and drops what doesn't (paper jams, busy signals, toner). We wrote our own transmission engine, signed BAAs from day one, and implemented 256-bit encryption before we had a marketing site.

Today AvoFax handles faxes for medical practices, law firms, pharmacies, and finance teams. We're a small, focused team, and every feature we ship starts with the same question: does this make someone's fax workflow faster or safer? If not, we skip it.
